Margherita Pizza

Step 1: Preheat the oven to 245°C (475°F).
Step 2: Stretch the pizza dough into a circle approximately 30 cm (12 inches) in diameter.
Step 3: Spread the Carbone Spicy Pizza Sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a narrow border around the edge.
Step 4: Sprinkle the grated Asiago or Parmesan evenly over the sauce.
Step 5: Arrange the low-moisture mozzarella slices over the pizza.
Step 6: Drizzle lightly with extra virgin olive oil.
Step 7: Bake for approximately 15 minutes, rotating the pizza halfway through, until the crust is browned and the cheese is golden.
Step 8: Carefully remove the pizza from the oven.
Step 9: Top with the torn buffalo mozzarella and fresh basil.
Step 10: Finish with another light drizzle of extra virgin olive oil.
Step 11: Cut into six slices and serve immediately.
IGA Tip
For a crispier base, preheat a pizza stone or inverted baking sheet with the oven. Add the fresh buffalo mozzarella after baking, as directed, so it stays creamy without releasing too much moisture onto the crust.
